Zagreb, March 14th Croatia, Slovenia and Italy to establish a North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley Croatia, Slovenia and Italy’s autonomous region of Friuli Venezia Giulia signed a letter of intent for the establishment of a North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley. Brussels, The EU strategy for energy system integration is outlining a vision to create a smarter, more integrated and optimised energy system, in which all sectors can fully contribute to decarbonisation. According to the European Union, green hydrogen “is a key priority to achieve the European Green Deal and Europe’s clean energy transition.” It is seen as a technology which can bridge the gap between electricity production from renewable energy and the goal of decarbonising a large share of the EU’s energy consumption by 2050. Brussels, RESHUB project – For the first time in the history of EU, a defence-energy project is given access to EU funding with the help of EDA. ‘RESHUB’, a Slovenian-led project supported by EDA with a view to improving energy efficiency in the defence sector, has been awarded EU funding (€310,000) under the Structural Reform Support Programme (SRSP) of the European Commission. It is the first time a defence-energy project is given access to EU funding with the help of EDA. The project was prepared by the Slovenian Ministry of Defense as part of the Consultative Forum on Sustainable Energy in the Defense and Security Sector, organized by the European Defense Agency (EDA) in cooperation with the EU Directorate-General for Energy and based on the ZERO EMISSION MOBILITY CORRIDOR SLOVENIA ZEMC-S project developed by ECUBES Technology. Ljubljana, EDA Chief Executive in Slovenia for talks on RESHUB PROJECT, First defence-energy project developed in Consultation Forum RESHUB a Slovenian MOD led project supported by EDA with a view to improving energy efficiency in the defence sector, and was prepared on a basis of Zero emission Mobility Corridor Slovenia. “RESHUB”, which stands for ‘Defence RESilience Hub Network in Europe’, is a project conceived and led by the Slovenian Ministry of Defence under the Consultation Forum on Sustainable Energy in the Defence and Security Sector (CF SEDSS) which is currently in its third phase.
